Care and Maintenance
• Your Luxorist Jewelry is a delicate piece of Art and needs to be protected.
• Luxorist has created the highest standards in design, materials and craftsmanship, creating jewelry that can be passed down from generation to generation, if it is cared for properly with simple basic care.
• At the time of purchase, all Luxorist Jewelry is wrapped in a protective box, case or tarnish-resistant pouch. When not in use, we recommend that you place it back in its original case or another suitably lined box or pouch.

Jewelry Type	Cleaning Tips
Gold jewelry	• Soak in a mild mix of dish detergent with warm water for 10-15 minutes. • Using a soft bristle gentle brush remove any suds or dirt and then gently rub with your fingers. • Rinse off with water and air dry or rub with a soft cloth until dry. • Overcleaning can cause the metal to break down, which can ruin your jewelry.
Gemstone jewelry	• Gemstone jewelry should not be soaked. • Instead dip a soft cloth into a mild soapy water and wipe gently with it. • Gently wipe with a damp cloth and then with a soft dry cloth or air dry overnight. • Never use ultrasonic cleaners, steamers, or commercial cleaners on diamonds, gemstones and pearls jewelry.
Platinum jewelry	• Clean regularly with jewelry cleaner specially formulated for gold and platinum jewelry or a solution of mild soap and warm water. • Using a soft toothbrush, scrub the metal gently. • Rinse under warm water. • Dry with a clean, lint-free soft cloth. • Do not soak or brush delicate gemstones that are mounted in your platinum jewelry such as opal, tanzanite, emerald or topaz.
Silver Jewelry	When cleaning and polishing using a soft cloth, remember to follow the grain of the silver and do not rub in circular patterns. Avoid Intentionally oxidized areas and do not rub too hard on engraved areas of your silver jewelry.

Gold Platinum Diamond Gemstone	• Gold is a soft metal and is prone to gradual wear, tear and dulling. • Dust, pollution and daily wear can dull the surface of jewelry. • Timeworn prongs and clasps can result in the loss of a stone or an entire piece of jewelry. • Some at-home jewelry cleaners, steamers or ultrasonic machines can harm your jewelry • Some materials used are particularly susceptible to breaking on impact. • Enameling can also chip or scratch when struck. • Examine your jewelry piece regularly to make sure settings are snug and clasps are secure. • Hang up gold chains can prevents them from getting tangled. • Buff gold jewelry occasionally helps store shine of the piece. • Keep each jewelry separate in a fabric lined jewelry box or wrap in a soft cloth to avoid scratches and gradually become dull. • Do not leave it out on the table. It might scratch or dull the finish of your jewelry piece. • Avoid stacking your rings and bracelets or placing multiple jewelry pieces together in order to avoid damage. Ultrasonic cleaning is not safe for many gemstones, so we advise against this method.
Silver	Sterling silver will naturally tarnish by oxygen in the air. These are some of the tips to minimize that oxidation: • Store silver jewelry separately in airtight bags. • Place in an area of low humidity with a packet of silica in a storage bag. • Keep clasps/closures unhooked. To remove tarnish, we recommend a nonabrasive silver polish.
Pearl	• If worn often, pearls should be cleaned by wiping gently with a damp cloth.

O Oiling/Infusion: The centuries old practice of immersing gemstones such as Emeralds in oil, wax, glass, resin or other material to improve its appearance.
C Coating: Sometimes wax, resin or oil is applied in a porous colored gemstone in order to improve its sturdiness, durability and beauty.
B Bleaching: Enhancing a gemstone with heat, light, and/or chemical agents to lighten and create a uniform color consistency.
